The No. 2 ranked UNC women’s soccer team defeated No.13 Texas A&M by a score of 1-0 in Sunday’s NCAA Tournament quarterfinals in Cary–clinching the program’s 30th all-time College Cup appearance.

Rachael Dorwart scored the game’s only goal in the closing minutes of the first half, as UNC (18-1-0) earned its seventh consecutive victory.

The Tar Heel defense clamped down and allowed the Aggies (13-4) only one shot in the second half.

For UNC goalkeeper Claudia Dickey, this was her 15th shutout of the season–a number good enough to lead the country.
