Selden Durgom Lamoureux has been a potter for over 40 years, first as a studio/production potter at Cedar Creek Gallery in Creedmoor, NC then, for the past 30 years, in her studio at her home outside Bynum in Chatham County. Amy Wandless creates functional porcelain and stoneware ceramics and is the current President of the Chatham Artists Guild. Amy and her husband, Greg, moved to Pittsboro in 2020 from Virginia after completing careers in government science and management. Amy works side-by-side with her husband, an accomplished woodturner and furniture maker in their business, Wandless Crafts. This Week:     
After serving in Vietnam, Herb Harton moved to Charlotte where he began going to school and working freelance in films. He worked freelance in the film industry for 15 years before a union business agent walked onto a camera truck and persuaded him to join the union. He was the first person in NC to join. For 35 years, Herb has advocated for organized labor as a member of Local 600, The International Cinematographers Guild, and the NC State Political Director.
For the last 31 years he served at the helm of the Southeastern NC Central Labor Council. He recently concluded a four year term as president of the North Carolina Democratic Party Labor Caucus. Herb remains as the NCDP Caucus Leader for the 7th District.

Ben Clark was born at the old Womack hospital at Ft. Liberty (formerly Ft. Bragg) to an Army helicopter pilot and a schoolteacher. A proud Aggie, Ben was in ROTC at NC A&T and commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the USAF. After serving 20 years, he retired as a Lt. Col. and returned to Hoke County. For 20 years, he’s worked at Ft. Liberty, training soldiers on some of the nation’s most sophisticated mission command systems.  He served five terms in the NC Senate, representing Hoke and Cumberland counties. Ben is a common sense Democrat running for Lt. Governor in 2024.

Before he began teaching, he served eight years as Mayor Chapel Hill and was also a practicing attorney. Kevin and his wife Nancy have lived in Chapel Hill since 1990, when they came here to go to school. Chapel Hill was named America’s Most Livable City when Kevin was Mayor.
