She specializes in using systems thinking approaches to solve complex problems. Dr. Platt runs TickWarriors, LLC, specializing in eco-friendly pest control and their sister nonprofit Tick-borne Conditions United (TBCU). TBCU strives to bridge the gaps between patients, emerging science, and healthcare provider education.

Grant Welch is the Communications Workers of America NC Legislative-Political Director. He and the team have introduced and lobbied for multiple bills to keep our call center worker jobs in NC, expand access to affordable, high speed broadband and repeal the ban on public sector bargaining. He also serves as a Vice President of NC AFL-CIO and CWA District 3 Veteran’s Committee Chair. Grant is a 25 year member of CWA. He is active in his community through Rotary International. He is past president of the Rotary Club of Sanford and currently serves as Assistant Governor for Area 10, which includes Lee and Chatham Counties.

Loren Hill has worked for more than 27 years in economic development in central North Carolina. He has worked for the Piedmont Triad Partnership for the last four years, serving as Carolina Core Regional Economic Development Director. Prior to his current role, Loren served for 20 years as President of the High Point Economic Development Corporation and was Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and its economic development department

Born into a blue collar and agricultural clan in rural Pennsylvania, Jim Crawford was the first in his family to graduate from college. Earning his PhD from UNC, he taught US and World History at several universities in piedmont North Carolina for several decades. He served as chairman of the Chatham County board of commissioners, and currently serves as trustee for Central Carolina Community College. He is a firm believer in American democracy and trusts that the constitution will hold firm now as it has in past crises despite the broken, distempered electorate.

Rich Hite is the author of In the Shadow of Salem: The Andover Witch Hunt of 1692, which focuses on the involvement of the town of Andover in the witch hunt of 1692 that is primarily associated with the town of Salem. Professionally, he works as State Records Coordinator for the Rhode Island State Archives and is also a part time tour guide for Salem Historical Tours in Salem and North Andover, Massachusetts. He lives in Providence Rhode Island.
