UNC Checks In at No. 3 in AP Men’s Basketball Poll

Having won 12 of its last 13 games–and continuing to sit in a tie atop the ACC standings–UNC is up two spots this week to No. 3 in the AP Men’s Basketball Top 25, which was released on Monday.

The Tar Heels are 24-5 this season, with a 14-2 record in conference play.

Gonzaga remained No. 1 in the poll this week, followed by No. 2 Virginia, UNC, No. 4 Duke and No. 5 Tennessee.

The rest of the top 10 consists of: No. 6 Kentucky, No. 7 Michigan, No. 8 Texas Tech, No. 9 Michigan State and No. 10 LSU.

Other ACC teams in the poll include: No. 14 Florida State and No. 15 Virginia Tech–giving the league five of the nation’s top 15 teams.
