The UNC men’s golf team wrapped up play at the Old Town Collegiate in Winston-Salem on Wednesday, finishing the third–and final–round of the event in fourth place on the team leaderboard.

Led by junior Austin Hitt (8-under-par) and sophomore Ryan Gerard (5-under-par), the Tar Heels ended the tournament with a team score of 12-under-par.

Hitt finished fourth on the individual leaderboard, while Gerard came home 10th.

Louisville (30-under-par) won the tournament by one stroke over host Wake Forest, while third-place Rutgers was all the way back at 13-under-par–just one shot in front of UNC.

The Tar Heels will now look to build off this performance when they travel to play in the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Classic from Oct. 7-8.
