Riding an impressive five-game winning streak in ACC play–a streak that directly followed three consecutive losses–UNC has made its way back into the top 10 of the AP Men’s Basketball Top 25.

Head coach Roy Williams’ squad checked in at No. 10 this week in the most recent edition of the poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

The top four teams in the poll–Virginia, Michigan State, Villanova and Xavier–held onto the same spots they held last week, while Duke jumped seven spots from No. 12 to No. 5.

Rounding out the top 10 in front of the Tar Heels is a group that includes: Texas Tech and Gonzaga tied at No. 6, No. 8 Kansas and No. 9 Purdue.

A total of five ACC teams are ranked this week, with No. 15 Clemson and No. 25 Florida State joining Virginia, Duke and UNC.

The Tar Heels are scheduled to take on Syracuse this Wednesday at the Carrier Dome, but have no other games scheduled until Senior Day at the Dean Dome against Miami on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
