UNC goalie Taylor Moreno was selected Tuesday as the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in the Tar Heels’ 11-5 win over No. 3 Syracuse this past weekend in Chapel Hill.
Moreno made 12 saves and played a huge role in UNC holding the Orange to their lowest goal-scoring total of the season, the first time they had scored below 10 goals all year.
She also added two ground-ball pickups.
