Coming off a signature win this past Saturday over then-No. 4 Gonzaga, the UNC men’s basketball team moved up three spots in the newest AP Men’s Basketball Top 25 this week–checking in at No. 9.
The Tar Heels are 8-2 this season, but had lost two of their previous four games heading into the matchup with Gonzaga.
Undefeated Kansas remained No. 1 this week, followed by No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Tennessee, No. 4 Michigan and No. 5 Virginia.
The rest of the top 10 includes: No. 6 Nevada, No. 7 Auburn, No. 8 Gonzaga, UNC and No. 10 Michigan State.
Other ACC teams in the poll this week are: No. 11 Florida State and No. 13 Virginia Tech.
