UNC Men’s Golf Wins General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach

With a final combined score of 21-under-par, the UNC men’s golf team took home the title following Tuesday’s final round of the General Hackler Intercollegiate at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.

The Tar Heels won the event by a whopping 13 strokes over second place Liberty (-8), while ACC rival Wake Forest took home third at 7-under-par.

UNC was originally scheduled to travel to California for the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic, but made the decision to switch to this event in Myrtle Beach due to travel concerns arising from the spread of the coronavirus.

Ryan Burnett was the Tar Heels’ top finishing individual, tying for second place with a score of 6-under-par.
