Back-to-back wins over Notre Dame and Miami this past week helped the UNC men’s basketball team move up two spots to No. 11 in the AP Men’s Basketball Top 25.

The Tar Heels are 14-4 so far this season, and are tied atop the ACC standings with a 4-1 record against conference opponents.

Tennessee is the new No. 1 team in the nation this week. The rest of the top five includes No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Gonzaga and No. 5 Michigan.

The rest of the top 10 consists of: No. 6 Michigan State, No. 7 Nevada, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 9 Kansas and No. 10 Virginia Tech.

In addition to Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech and UNC, the ACC also has No. 21 NC State and No. 23 Louisville among the poll.

UNC’s game Monday night features a top-15 showdown, as it hosts Virginia Tech at the Dean Dome.
