Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky–the No. 2 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft coming out of UNC–was named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster on Monday, replacing Los Angeles Rams’ signal-caller Jared Goff.
Goff will not be able to participate in the game as a result of the Rams making it to the Super Bowl.
Trubisky becomes the first Bears quarterback to make the Pro Bowl since 1986 after leading the team to a 12-4 record and an NFC North division championship.
In 14 starts this season, the Ohio native completed 66.6 percent of his passes for 3,223 yards with 24 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 95.4 passer rating. Trubisky also rushed for 421 yards and three TDs on 68 carries.
