A pair of Tar Heels were selected to the D1Baseball.com Preseason All-American teams, which were released on Monday.

Junior first baseman Michael Busch was a First Team choice, while junior right-hander Gianluca Dalatri earned a spot on the Third Team.

Busch was second on the team last year with a .317 batting average. He led UNC, however, in runs scored (70), home runs (13), RBI (63), slugging percentage (.521), walks (55) and on base percentage (.465) on his way to earning Second Team All-ACC honors.

Injuries affected Dalatri’s season in 2018 following a breakout freshman campaign, but the 6-foot-6 New Jersey native still went 2-2 with a 3.33 ERA in the seven appearances he was able to make.
