The trio of Caleb Cozart, Connor Ollio and Gage Gillian combined to throw a shutout Saturday at Boshamer Stadium for the UNC baseball team in a 5-0 Senior Day victory over No. 8 Louisville.
They allowed the Cardinals (26-17) just three hits in the game, while clinching the series win following another phenomenal performance on the mound from Austin Love on Friday.
Offensively, the Tar Heels (23-22) got on the board in the second inning with a two-out RBI single by Brett Centracchio. Two more runs came home to score in the third inning due to a bases-loaded walk by Danny Serretti and a wild pitch which allowed Caleb Roberts to come home.
Centracchio then struck again with a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the game its final score line.
This marked the first time Louisville had been shut out since March 23, 2019 against Georgia Tech.
