The newest edition of the AP Men’s Basketball Top 25 was released on Monday, with UNC falling one spot to No. 15 in the rankings after a week that included an 82-60 win over Davidson.
It is the lowest the Tar Heels (9-3) have been ranked all season.
Duke remains No. 1 in the poll, followed by No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Tennessee, No. 4 Virginia and No. 5 Kansas.
The rest of the top 10 is composed of: No. 6 Nevada, No. 7 Gonzaga, No. 8 Michigan State, No. 9 Florida State and No. 10 Virginia Tech.
Duke, Virginia, Florida State and Virginia Tech give the ACC four teams in the top 10, while UNC and No. 18 NC State bring the league’s total to six ranked teams this week–more than any other conference.
The Tar Heels will return to the court on Wednesday at the Smith Center, when they host Harvard in their final non-conference game of the season.
