UNC sophomore attacker Jamie Ortega was recognized Tuesday as the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, after a phenomenal performance in which she tallied seven goals and three assists in the Tar Heels’ 21-11 win over No. 5 Northwestern this past Saturday.

Ortega’s 10 points tied the all-time UNC record for a single game set by Kellie Thompson back in 2002. Both numbers also tied Ortega’s career-highs as well.

Syracuse’s Sarah Cooper was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week.
