**UPDATE: On Monday at 4:58 p.m., Chapel Hill Police announced that they have located Richard Leslie Silva. “Mr. Silva was located in a wooded area near I-40 this afternoon,” CHPD said in a statement. “He was transported to UNC-ER for evaluation.”

*STATEMENT FROM CHAPEL HILL PD*

The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a man who was last seen on September 5, 2014.

Richard Leslie Silva is a 90 year old white male.  He is 5′ 10″ tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds.  Silva was last seen at the Carol Woods Retirement Community located on 750 Weaver Diary Road at about 12:40 pm on Friday September 5, 2014.  Mr. Silva is believed to be suffering from dementia or a cognitive impairment.
