UPDATE: A release from Chapel Hill Police at 9:30 a.m. on Monday said Lashunda Racquel Goins has been safely located.
The Chapel Hill Police Department is turning to the public for help in finding a woman last seen on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
An alert shared in the early morning hours of Friday by police said they are seeking 44-year-old Lashunda Racquel Goins, a Chapel Hill resident reported missing. Goins was last seen around 10 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of Conner Drive.

Police describe Goins as 5-foot-6 with black and red braided hair, and weighing around 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, gray sweatpants, and black, red, and gray Nike Air Max shoes.
Friday’s alert said Goins is not believed to be in danger.
Any community members who may have information on Goins’ whereabouts and wellbeing are encouraged to call 911 or the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 during business hours.
