UPDATE: The Chapel Hill Police Department shared an alert at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday saying Lycurtis Satterwhite was safely located.


Chapel Hill Police are asking for your help as they search for a missing man.

68-year-old Lycurtis Satterwhite was last seen around 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, near the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Homestead Road. Satterwhite is 5’7″ tall and was last seen wearing a black Carolina hat, a gray sweatshirt, black jeans, and black tennis shoes. Police say they don’t believe he’s in danger, but they’re worried about his health.
