
UPDATE: The Chapel Hill Police Department said at 8:41 p.m. Thursday that Saniya Forbes was safely located.
The Chapel Hill Police department said in a release Thursday at 12:28 p.m. that it is searching for a missing 14-year-old, and asked for the community’s help.
Saniya Forbes, a Chapel Hill resident, was last seen at 10 p.m. Wednesday evening near Timber Hollow Court. She is believed to have run away. She is 5 feet, 2 inches, and has long dark hair and a nose piercing. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time she went missing.
Any community members with details or knowledge of Forbes’ whereabouts and wellbeing are encouraged to call 911 or contact the Chapel Hill Police Department’s office at 919-968-2760.
