UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police said that as of 11:35 a.m. Monday, Kaden Tran has been safely located.
The Chapel Hill Police Department shared in a release Monday morning that it is searching for a missing 14-year-old, and asked for the community’s help.

Kaden Tran, a Chapel Hill resident, is believed to have run away. He was last seen around Deerwood Court at 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. He is 5 feet 5 inches and weighs approximately 94 pounds. Police are unaware what clothing Tran was wearing when he was last seen.
Anyone with information as to Tran’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or to contact the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call the Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crimestoppers at 919-942-7515 or visit their website here.
