Work on wooden railroad ties in two intersections in Chapel Hill and Carrboro will force road closures this week. The crossings to be repaired are at East Main Street in Carrboro and on Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill.
Work on the Carrboro crossing will occur from Tuesday to Wednesday. The crossing is just past the intersection with Robeson Street and the split with Weaver Street. The Town of Chapel Hill recommends motorists use Highway 54 as a detour. Signage will also be placed near the railroad crossing.
