Here is a list of the local governments in our community and when their main legislative bodies are meeting in the month of March. Links to when advisory boards and commissions are provided under the respective governments.
Chapel Hill Town Government
The Chapel Hill Town Council will meet three times in March for official meetings, with one being a special budget session. The regular meetings on Wednesday March 4 and Wednesday March 25 will both begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the town hall. The budget session on Tuesday March 18 will be held at Meeting Room B of the Chapel Hill Public Library. That session, which is open to the public, will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Carrboro Town Government
The Carrboro Town Council has three meetings slated for the month, all on Tuesdays: March 10, March 17 and March 24. All three meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and are expected to be held at Town Hall in the Council Chambers.

Hillsborough Town Government
Hillsborough’s Board of Commissioners has one regular meeting, one work session and a budget retreat scheduled for March. The regular board meeting will be held Monday March 9, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex Board Meeting Room. The work session on Monday March 23 will have the same time and location, and will also featured the annual State of the Town Address.
The commissioners will hold a board budget retreat on Saturday March 7 to discuss planning and finances for the upcoming fiscal year. That is slated to begin at 9 a.m. in the board meeting room.

Orange County Government
The Orange County Board of Commissioners will meeting twice in March. On Tuesday March 10, the meeting will be held in Hillsborough’s Whitted Building at 7 p.m. On Tuesday March 24, its meeting will be held at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill beginning at 7 p.m.

Chatham County Government
The Board of Chatham County Commissioners is scheduled to have one regular meeting during March. On Monday March 16, the board will meet at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
