The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a Chapel Hill resident on multiple felony charges related to a domestic violence incident.

Jaquan Timothy Woodard, 25, of Manns Chapel Road in Chapel Hill, was arrested by a sheriff’s office deputy on Tuesday, March 31, for an incident reported on March 25. Woodard was charged with felony stalking and intimidating a witness, which is also a felony.

Authorities listed additional charges of assault of an unborn child, assault on a female and violation of a domestic violence protection order against Woodard. He was jailed at the Chatham County Detention Center for 48 hours under a domestic violence hold.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office’s report of the incident listed the victim’s injuries as minor.

Woodard will appear in Chatham County district court in Pittsboro on May 6.
