Tuesday, August 7, is “National Night Out,” an annual event that encourages everyone to spend the evening outside getting to know your neighbors as well as local police. Get in touch with your local police department or your neighborhood listserv to see if there’s an event in your neighborhood (or to plan one yourself!).
Saturday, August 11, head to the FRANK Gallery in University Place from 6-9 pm for the opening reception for a new exhibit by local artists Shelly Hehenberger, Austin Cathey and Luna Lee Ray. The art will be on display through the end of September.
Hillsborough Police are hosting their annual charity golf tournament Saturday, September 8, at the Shamrock Golf Course in Burlington, to support the department’s community initiatives program. Deadline to register is August 31; contact Hillsborough Police to get signed up.
