Playing at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, the fifth-ranked UNC women’s soccer team rolled Thursday night to a 3-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Alessia Russo put the Tar Heels (7-2-1, 2-0 ACC) ahead with a goal in the 17th minute, while Bridgette Andrzejewski doubled the lead just over five minutes later.

UNC took that 2-0 lead into halftime, before freshman Brianna Pinto added the team’s third–and final–goal of the evening in the 52nd minute.

The Tar Heels’ complete domination over the Panthers (4-4-1, 0-2 ACC) was illustrated by their 24 shot attempts in the match compared to only one for the visitors.
