The No. 3 UNC women’s soccer team remained undefeated in ACC play on Sunday in Pittsburgh, scoring three goals in the second half to rally for a 3-1 victory over the Pitt Panthers.

Brianna Pinto, Taylor Otto and Rachael Dorwart each scored for the Tar Heels (12-1-1, 5-0-1 ACC), who moved into sole possession of first place in the conference standings for the first time this season.

Pittsburgh–which earned its first ACC win since 2016 last week over Boston College–falls to 4-7-3 overall and 1-3-2 inside the league.

Despite allowing the early goal to Pitt’s Vildan Kardesler, UNC still managed to build an impressive 28-3 edge in shots over the course of the match and rack up five corner kick attempts compared to only two for the Panthers.

Pinto’s goal was her eighth of the season, good enough for the Tar Heel team lead.
