Four Tar Heels were named Wednesday to the women’s United Soccer Coaches Division I All-Atlantic Team, led by three First Team choices.

Midfielder Brianna Pinto, goalkeeper Claudia Dickey and forward Rachel Jones were each named to the First Team, while versatile freshman Talia Dellaperuta earned a spot on the Second Team.

Pinto ranks fourth nationally with 13 goals this season and was recently the No. 3 overall pick in the NWSL Draft by Sky Blue FC.

Dickey leads the country with 15 clean sheets and has not allowed a single goal since Nov. 15 in the ACC Championship loss to Florida State–still UNC’s only loss of the season to date.

Jones ranks second on the team with six goals and has also tallied five assists, while Dellaperuta is just behind with five goals and two assists of her own.

The Tar Heels have gone 18-1 so far this year and are set to play in the College Cup on Thursday night against Santa Clara.

UNC–which has won 22 national titles in women’s soccer–is currently in the program’s longest drought without a national title, having last won it all back in 2012.
