Brianna Pinto scored 30 seconds into the second half on Thursday night at Dorrance Field to lift the No. 2 UNC women’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Villanova.

The Tar Heels (14-1-0) racked up 16 shots in the match while holding Villanova (2-9-2) to just one for the entirety of the night.

UNC has still yet to allow a goal through its first three games of the spring, outscoring opponents 13-0 during that time.

Pinto’s goal was assisted by Isabel Cox and was her 11th of the season, good enough for the team lead.
