Make it six wins in six tries for the top-ranked UNC women’s soccer team so far in 2020, as the Tar Heels cruised to a 3-1 road victory on Sunday over the Boston College Eagles.
Isabel Cox’s goal in the first half gave UNC a 1-0 lead at halftime, while Brianna Pinto and Talia Dellaperuta each scored less than 10 minutes after the break to give the Tar Heels (6-0) all the insurance they would need.
Boston College drops to 0-5 with the loss, but managed to avoid getting shutout when Jenna Bike found the back of the net in the 84th minute.
For the game, UNC built an 18-7 advantage in total shots and took seven corner kicks compared to just three for the Eagles.
