A total of five Tar Heels were selected to the All-ACC Academic team for women’s soccer on Tuesday, the league announced.
Senior Morgan Goff, junior Emily Fox, sophomores Rachel Jones and Brianna Pinto as well as freshman Maycee Bell found their names on the list–which requires student-athletes to have a 3.0 grade point average in the most recent semester and for their entire career.
Goff started 14 of UNC’s 27 games this season, while majoring in English.
Fox was named a First Team All-American as a defender–scoring two goals and dishing out a team-high 11 assists–as a global studies major.
Jones is majoring in public policy, and finished 2019 with four goals and an assist.
A business administration major from Durham, Pinto earned First Team All-American honors with 11 goals and six assists for the Tar Heels.
Bell–who is majoring in exercise and sport science–was named ACC Freshman of the Year and a Third Team All-American for her work as a defender.
