UNC junior Raul Aguilera was named an All-ACC Academic selection for men’s soccer on Tuesday, an achievement which recognizes outstanding athletic and academic performance during the 2019 season.
Student-athletes selected must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 throughout their college careers, as well as a 3.0 grade point average in the most recent semeseter.
Achievements on the field in the most recent season are also taken into account.
Aguilera–an exercise and sport science major from Sanford, Florida–started 17 of the the Tar Heels’ 18 games, finishing the year with a goal and two assists.
