UNC junior midfielder/defender Emily Fox was selected Thursday as one of four finalists for the 2020 Honda Sport Award for women’s soccer, which has been presented annually by the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) over the last 44 years to the top women’s athletes in 12 NCAA- sanctioned sports.

Fox is joined by BYU’s Mikayla Colohan, UCLA’s Jessie Fleming and Stanford’s Catarina Macario as finalists. The nominees were chosen by the United Soccer Coaches Association, with the winner ultimately becoming a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the prestigious 2020 Honda Cup.

In leading the Tar Heels to an appearance in this year’s NCAA Championship Game, Fox was also named a First Team All-American and a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
