Coming off the program’s second national championship in the last four seasons, the UNC women’s lacrosse team was selected by the eight ACC coaches as the favorite to win the league again in 2017.
Not only that, the Tar Heels secured six of the 13 spots on the Preseason All-ACC Team–showing that they’ll have plenty of talent to try and repeat last year’s run.
UNC players included as part of that team are: attackers Molly Hendrick and Sammy Jo Tracy, midfielders Marie McCool and Maggie Bill, defender Maggie Auslander and goalie Caylee Waters.
Head coach Jenny Levy and company open their season this Saturday at noon with a home game against James Madison.
