Inside Lacrosse, one of the premier publications covering the sport, released its women’s All-American teams on Friday, with four Tar Heels making the final cut.

Senior midfielder Marie McCool was a First Team selection, while sophomore attacker Katie Hoeg was named to the Second Team. The Third Team included attackers Ela Hazar, a senior, and Jamie Ortega, a freshman.

In addition to those four, sophomore defender Erin Kelly and redshirt freshman goalie Taylor Moreno were selected as honorable mentions.

Teams were determined by a survey of over 20 members of the women’s lacrosse media.

The Tar Heels are currently scheduled to host Northwestern on Saturday for an NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal matchup.
