Due to COVID-19 contact tracing protocols, the UNC volleyball team postponed its scheduled matches this weekend against Georgia Tech and Boston College.

The Tar Heels announced the news on Friday, stating that the decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to a positive test within a recent opponent’s program.

UNC’s only matches in the month of March have been a win over Syracuse on March 5 and a loss to Clemson on March 6.

Both scheduled contests this weekend were to take place in Atlanta. The teams are working to reschedule the matches for later dates.

For now, UNC (8-4) is scheduled to return to action on March 19 at home against Wake Forest.
