A road trip to Boston College didn’t go quite the way the UNC volleyball team had hoped on Sunday, as the Eagles defeated the Tar Heels 3-0 (25-27, 12-25, 19-25)–handing them their seventh consecutive loss.

Despite a valiant effort in the first set–one that needed tie-breaker points to decide–UNC struggled to keep up for most of the final two sets.

Boston College (13-9, 3-7 ACC) built big leads in each of the last two frames, as it cruised to victory with a hitting percentage of .356 for the match.

Skyler Wine was the top offensive player for UNC (5-14, 1-9 ACC) with 11 kills overall, while Destiny Cox and Ava Bell each added eight apiece.

UNC will stay on the road for its next match, when it travels to face Georgia Tech on Friday.
