A five-set thriller on Friday night in Chapel Hill went in favor of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who rallied from behind to earn atough 3-2 victory (23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11) over the UNC volleyball team.

The Tar Heels (10-11, 7-4 ACC) won two of the first three sets, but were unable to hold off the feisty visitors down the stretch.

Lauren Harrison led UNC with 21 kills, while Parker Austin added 15 and Skyler Wine chipped in 12 as the third Tar Heel in double figures.

Georgia Tech’s .277 hitting percentage ultimately proved to be the difference, as it was six percent higher than UNC’s .214 mark.

The Yellow Jackets improve to 15-7 overall and 8-3 in the ACC with the victory.
