The UNC volleyball team remained undefeated at home since the beginning of ACC play with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17) victory over the visiting Syracuse Orange on Friday night at Carmichael Arena.

Lauren Harrison led the way with 16 kills, while Aristea Tontei added 10 of her own as the only other Tar Heel in double figures. As a team, UNC posted a solid hitting percentage of .270.

The win was UNC’s sixth in its last seven matches, with the only loss in that span coming to No. 3 Pittsburgh. At this point in the season, the Tar Heels are now 9-10 overall and 6-3 in conference play after beginning the year 1-7.

Syracuse fell to 5-11 overall and 2-7 inside the ACC.

The Tar Heels will try to continue their winning ways at home against Boston College on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
