Struggles continued to pile up for the UNC volleyball team on Friday night, as it lost for the sixth consecutive time–this one a 3-0 sweep on the road at the hands of the Syracuse Orange (23-25, 18-25, 22-25).
The Tar Heels (5-13, 1-8 ACC) tallied a season-high seven aces in the match, but it was not enough to hold off a Syracuse team that posted a hitting percentage of .365.
Skyler Wine, Hadden LaGarde and Madison Laufenberg each had eight kills to lead the UNC offense, which helped the Tar Heels stay close in every set.
Syracuse (11-6, 7-2 ACC) was able to close the match out without much trouble, however, sending UNC to yet another loss.
