Following the team’s second consecutive ITA National Indoor Tournament championship, UNC swept the ACC’s weekly awards on Tuesday.
Sophomore Elizabeth Scotty was named the league’s Player of the Week, while Fiona Crawley was recognized as the ACC Freshman of the Week.
Scotty’s three-set victory over Texas’s Charlotte Chavatipon clinched the Tar Heels’ come-from-behind victory in the title match on Sunday, while Crawley’s win against Texas evened the team score at 3-3 and gave Scotty the chance to be the hero.
This represents the first ACC weekly honor for both Scotty and Crawley.
UNC is currently 7-0 this season, with a win streak of 25 matches dating back to last season.
