UNC senior Sara Daavettila was named the ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday for the third time this season.
Daavettila–the nation’s No. 3 ranked singles player–defeated No. 5 ranked Anna Rogers of NC State in straight sets 7-5, 6-0 last Friday. She also teamed with Cameron Morra to defeat the No. 9 ranked doubles pairing of Rogers and Alana Smith.
The Tar Heels are still the No. 1 ranked team in the country at 20-0 this season and have won a program-record 38 consecutive dual matches dating back to 2020.
UNC and Davettila are scheduled to return to action on Friday with a road match at Syracuse.
