This represents the fifth time in the last six weeks that a Tar Heel has won the award, with Aney’s doubles partner–Alexa Graham–having won four of those.
Aney was unbeaten this week as UNC defeated No. 3 Duke and No. 25 Virginia, and provided the clinching point in the match against the Blue Devils.
She is also fourth all-time in UNC history with 119 singles victories.
