Despite falling into a 2-0 hole after the very first inning on Wednesday night in Greensboro, the UNC softball team rallied for a 6-2 win on the road over the UNCG Spartans.

Kiani Ramsey’s three-run home run put UNC (31-15) ahead for good in the top of the third inning, while Destiny DeBerry and Megan Dray’s RBI singles in the fifth inning tacked on three more runs for the Tar Heels.

On the mound, Brittany Pickett earned her 18th win of the season.

With the loss, UNCG fell to 25-19 overall.

UNC will now move on to a three-game road series at Louisville beginning on Friday at 6 p.m.
