UNC senior Brittany Pickett was once again selected as the ACC Softball Pitcher of the Week on Monday, with this the 10th time she has won the award in her career.

Pickett–who also earned this honor last week–struck out 33 hitters in 22.2 innings while guiding the Tar Heels to a 3-1 record in the Carolina Classic over the weekend.

She began the weekend by striking out 11 UCONN hitters in a victory on Friday, then threw a one-hit complete-game shutout against No. 17 South Carolina to begin Saturday’s doubleheader.

Pickett is also UNC’s career leader in saves, notching another in the Tar Heels’ victory over Elon.

The Tar Heels return to action at home this weekend with a four-game series against Notre Dame.
