The UNC women’s golf team was given the No. 9 seed on Wednesday evening among teams selected to play in the NCAA East Lansing Regional, which will be hosted by Michigan State University from May 6-8.

This is the 26th time in program history that the Tar Heels have earned a place at an NCAA Regional Tournament, and the 10th time in 10 years it has happened under the direction of head coach Jan Mann.

Each of the four total regionals consists of 18 teams, with the top six of those teams qualifying for the NCAA Championship Tournament.

Last season saw UNC take eighth in its regional appearance.
