The scheduled women’s lacrosse game between UNC and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg on Thursday has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Hokies’ program.

Virginia Tech temporarily paused all team activities last week, although Saturday’s game against the Tar Heels–the second one against UNC scheduled for this week–still has the green light for now.

Saturday’s game between the Tar Heels and Hokies is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

It has yet to be determined when Thursday’s game will be rescheduled for.

UNC is the top-ranked team in the country and is currently 6-0 to begin the 2021 campaign. Virginia Tech sits at 2-2 with its last game a 12-10 loss to Virginia back on Feb. 27.
