A three-run triple from Megan Dray in the bottom of the third inning helped the UNC softball team pull off a 4-1 victory on Friday in Chapel Hill over the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Dray’s triple was the signature moment in the game for the Tar Heels (16-10, 6-1 ACC), who scored all four of their runs in the frame.
Crosby Huckabay hit a home run in the top of the seventh to represent the only scoring for the Yellow Jackets (20-12, 3-4 ACC).
On the mound, reigning ACC Pitcher of the Week Brittany Pickett earned her ninth win of the season–limiting Georgia Tech to just five hits, while pitching a complete game.
