UNC forward Luke Maye was among 30 players selected Friday as candidates for the Senior CLASS award in men’s basketball.
Eligibility for the award includes having a student-athlete classified as an NCAA Division I senior who has notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
Last season saw Maye earn First Team All-ACC and Third Team All-American honors, while also earning the ACC’s Skip Prosser Award as the league’s top basketball student-athlete.
The Huntersville native is also a three-time Academic All-ACC selection.
In February, the 30-player list will be narrowed to 10 finalists. The winner will be selected during the 2019 Final Four.
