The UNC volleyball team wrapped up play in the Buffs Invitational in Boulder, Colorado on Sunday afternoon with a 3-1 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs (17-25, 21-25, 25-22, 17-25).
Georgia improved to 8-1 with the victory, while the Tar Heels dropped to 3-5 so far in 2018.
Destiny Cox led UNC offensively once again as she posted 18 kills in the match, 13 more than her next closest teammate Ava Bell.
The Tar Heels gave a valiant effort in each of the first two sets before Georgia ultimately came out on top, then took charge with a strong third-set performance.
There would be no miracle comeback, however, as the Bulldogs asserted themselves to take the fourth set and the match.
