The ACC released its All-Conference softball teams and individual award winners on Tuesday, with a group of four Tar Heels earning recognition.

Senior shortstop Taylor Wike earned her fourth consecutive All-ACC honor, while also becoming the first UNC player to win the ACC Defensive Player of the Year Award.

The All-ACC Second Team included UNC left fielder Destiny DeBerry and center fielder Kiani Ramsey.

Wike–who recorded a .377 batting average in addition to her outstanding defense–was a First Team All-ACC selection for the second time in her career. She was joined on the First Team by sophomore pitcher Brittany Pickett, who is also making her second straight appearance among the league’s elite players.

Pickett led the nation in innings pitched this season, posted a 14-4 record in conference play, and ranked second in the ACC with 86 strikeouts.
